AMERICAN BROWN ALE | 5.3% ABV

Don’t be scared off by dark beers! Toasted chocolate and caramel notes lead the charge in this beer tracing its roots back to 18th century England, but this American style brings a little more hop character to the show. Property rights, powdered wigs, brown ales… just like everything we took from the British, we made it better on this side of the pond.

The ESB (Extra Special Bitter) is a staple in the pub culture in England. A traditional style, the English Sporting Beer has a nice malt backbone that balances well with earthy, herbal, and slightly fruity English hops. This beer is about putting our differences from 1776 and 1812 behind us, and hoisting pints with your mates.

2022 US BEER OPEN GOLD MEDAL UKRAINIAN GOLDEN ALE | 6.3% ABV

Brewed in collaboration with Varvar Brew in Kyiv, Ukraine, this Ukrainian Golden Ale won a gold medal in the 2022 US Beer Open. Brewed with coriander, this beer has slight sweetness from a high finishing gravity and hints of phenols from cool-fermented Belgian yeast. “Peremoha” means “Victory” in Ukrainian - enough said.

Nothing welcomes the arrival of Fall like a good Festbier! For over 200 years, Bavarians have hosted Oktoberfest in Munich, Germany, and we invite you to hoist some here in Chicago with us.

Crafted with traditional German malts and Noble hops, this malty lager will have you donning your liederhösen and singing “ein Prosit der Gemütlichkeit” with the best of them.

We took a Strong Ale base and loaded it up with cinnamon sticks, nutmeg, and orange peel to make a beer that is just so fitting for this time of year.

BLUEBERRY LEMON SOUR | 4.5% ABV

In 2020, our brewery was broken into on three separate occasions by the same pair of perpetrators. CPD was able to identify the suspects by a large bag of gummy bears taken during the first incident and during all this, this sour ale was innocuously fermenting in back.

Fruited with blueberries and lemon zest, this beer is ready to welcome warmer weather to Chicago and move past the hard times.

For those of us who tend to go a little wayward from the tee box, this beer is right down the middle of the fairway. Old school American pilsner malt and old school American hops run the show in this primary example of an old school American “beer flavored beer”.
